Finally India’s leading social networking site orkut considered introducing apps like that of facebook and myspace. Finally the Apps are live in India from April 16^th. Though social networking applications are here around for sometime, orkut was lagging behind bringing in new features in its site.

Slowly facebook and myspace was making strong presence in India with its new features and applications giving a tough competition to orkut. Now the big giant shacked up to competition and introduced the same features it’s website in order to keep its leadership position in the space of social networking.

Still orkut has to come up with support to html, java and other programming languages in it site. According to official blog of orkut, they are going to introduce apps in local languages in next few weeks.
