Yesterday blogger released a new page element for Layouts blogs: Blog List. Bloglist or blogroll is not an alien idea to Bloggers. You have already doing with some third party widgets like criteo. But now you can have the same within blogger itself. Though it's similar to Link List, It has some features than that. The Blog List uses blogs’ RSS and Atom feeds to show update times, post titles, and snippets and even optional favicon.

Any page that has an Atom or RSS feed can be listed in this Blog List. So it's not just confined to blogs. You can add news sites, podcasts, Twitter streams, search results etc. into blog list.

You can add all your favorite blogs, web sites, pages and feeds and spread your link love. You can also show icon, Title and snippet of most recent item, date of last update etc. Also there is a option to sort the list alphabetically or based on last update time. You can show all links, or show 5/10/25 blogs and hide others behind a "show all" link. You can also integrate Google reader subscriptions.

I've installed Blogger Blog list in my blog http://ravisblognet.com.

It appeared all dark. As I'm using dark template, the widget neither changed colours accordingly nor they have provided options to customize the colours. So This is not so cool. Hope Google is listening and will provide this feature soon. Share your blog list experiences here in comments section.
