Powerset: Potential Killer of Google
In it’s recent beta watch, PCWorld mentioned an interesting search engine called Powerset. In the quick review of the website under the title Powerset: Useful Gateway to Wikipedia, they also mentioned that Powerset is a “Potential Google Killer”.
Powerset draws it’s search results from couple of specialized databases like wikipedia, Freebase etc. According to Powerset, they will provide more relevant, meaningful, and smarter search results than Google and other search engines. For powerset searching is more than just keywords. It will understand the natural meaning of the word and phrases and accordingly lists the most relevant information.
Mr.Tom Spring of PCWorld have reviwed the website. For more detailed review of the website visit “First Impressions: Searching with Powerset”. Do you think Powerset kills Google? Share your opinion with us by clicking on comments.
