How to Beat Pakistan Attack on Indian Cyber Networks

SPONSORED LINKS

Today media reported that Pakistan is planning a major attack on Indian Cyber Networks. How they do that. It's simple. They use most popular websites among Indians, and try to infuse virus through that. For e.g. The popular song download sites like www.songs.pk will attach virus to the song files when anybody downloads the song their computers will get affected. It's a major challeng that all Indians should come together and fight against.
  • Don't Use websites with Pakistani domain. (That ends with .pk) (On the safer side)
  • Before downloading any file from net, Please check the genuineness of such websites. You can use Google site adviser, McAfee site advisor, AVG Site Advisors.
  • Use Mozilla Firefox : For better security.
  • Use Open DNS : Open DNS also acts as one of the most important security features. You can blacklist any suspicious websites.
  • Don't subscribe to Suspicious Group E-Mail service (Yahoo Groups, Google Groups etc). There are many Yahoo Groups which sends funny e-mails to it's members. (for e.g Fun on net, Nidokids, gurlz-group etc. I don't have any idea about the moderators of these groups and their origin) These groups are quite popular and has thousands of subscribers. (Some of them are moderated by Pakistanis) These groups are also source of such threat. They can send e-mails with a link to download virus. (On the safer side don't subscribe to any of such groups that you don't have any information about the moderators and their origin). I've observed some groups which send Islamic promotional materials in between some other interesting pictures etc. If you encounter such groups better you unsubscribe from it.
These are some of the precausionary security measures one should take. If you have any other tips please share here at comments section.
